In connection with upcoming or draft REACH regulations in the field of fire-fighting foams, ECHA has published a report aimed at facilitating the transition to PFAS-free fire-fighting foams.
It proposes: - case studies of companies that have already made the switch; - methods for identifying foams containing PFAS; - recommendations for the storage and disposal of these foams; - techniques for cleaning infrastructure and equipment.
