Résumé:
The ECHA web pages dedicated to substitution have been updated and new features are now available to access a list of programs and institutions that can finance research and development projects related to substitution.
Description:

In order to strengthen its support for companies seeking to replace hazardous chemicals and manufacturing processes, ECHA has expanded its webpages dedicated to substitution.

The new substitution section of the ECHA website consists of several items:

  • Supply chain workshops: informs about past and future substitution supply chain workshops and allow to inform ECHA about the willingness to (co)organize such events;
  • Networks: provides links to substitutionrelated networks;
  • Funding and technical support: lists programs and institutions able to provide funding for substitutionrelated R&D projects;
  • Data to prevent regrettable substitution: helps to use REACH, CLP (*) and Biocidal Product regulations data more efficiently to assess the hazards and risks of alternatives.

Other sections of the website provide access to a list of substitution-related events, substitution projects partners' connecting platforms, and real-life substitution cases.
